I've been using the 35 gal Camco Rhino tank with wheel kit for 2 years now and have been very happy with it.

We had a blue Barker tank when we had our pop-up.

Don't know your camping intentions or party size but two of us can go a week without a need to empty the black tank.
so the best poop tote really hasn't entered my mind..

I recommend one with good tires if they make one. When dragging it possibly to the other side of the campground good wheels will make a difference. I hate the hollow plastic tires they put on them. I have one a few years old and I'm going to change the tires to rubber. Also mine was rated great but the drain on it makes it hard to get everything out of it. I had one from the 1960s that had an opening at the very end and everything ran to it just open and stand on end and it was empty

I have watched folks deal with the poop cart. I don’t want anything to do with them! The chances of a “ OH SH#* “ situation seem way to likely.

* happens.. Once at a campground with a fair number of potholes, a truck was towing a poop cart. It fell off and the top came off.
No one was happy. I don't ever want to play that game and have to store a poop lined cart somewhere.
I would wait to see if you really need it. For us hooking up to go to a dump station is easy.

I bought an 18 gal tote and IIRC it's a Barker. Just shows how much we use it. I mainly got it for grey tank usage. Probably only used it 4-5 times in 10 years. In fact it rarely even goes with us. We get 4-5 nights for showers and the black is never an issue even dumping dish water down the toilet. Grey and black are both 40 gal each. Fresh is 80 gal.

I second this!
I can also go a week with just two of us but we like to stay through 2 weekends and that is too much, especially in the summer months. Just be mindful and you won't have an "situations"

I used one ONCE and swore then I would never do that again. That was in 1995 and so far I have been true to my word. They have mostly downsides with very little upside. One, you have no real way of knowing when the poop tote will be full. If you get one big enough to hold your black tank (for example a 35 gallon as mentioned above) that means you're lugging just under 300 lbs around. Even moving it from your camper to the truck is a hassle. Then there is the keeping it clean part. For me if the grounds doesn't have sewer connections at the camp site I won't stay there.
I have heard of folks using bladders before. Put in it the bed of the truck and use a pump to get the waste to the bladder. Just a lot of unnecessary to me.

We bought the Camco 28 gallon tank and have been happy with it so far. It has the same features as the 36 gallon tank but is a little smaller and cheaper. We have mostly used it to empty our grey tanks, but have had to use it once to empty our black tank. We are a family of 6 so this has come in handy on trips that are longer than 3 days. I did manage to rig it up to the back of my bike trailer while in Acadia N.P. this past summer and that worked very well.

I went very non-traditional and had a 110g bladder made that has a sewer hose fitting for the inlet and a 3” fitting for a standard sewer hose for the outlet.
I fill it using a macerator pump in my truck bed.
Works a treat!

I have a 22 gallon Barker that I can tow behind the truck. I replaced the cheap hollow plastic wheels with pneumatic tires. My black/grey tanks are 40 each and I only fill the tote about half way just to gain a little extra room in the tanks. If I have to do it twice, then so be it and so far I've never had an accident doing it this way plus it isn't nearly as heavy. I always follow a black dump with a grey and rinse the tank out at the dump station. I have a short 2' sewer hose section that I made from a previous hose that makes the connection easy. Lol, don't be afraid of the tote, it can come in very handy especially if you don't fill it all the way.
