Looking at a 2016 Jayco Jay Feather 23RLSW. We plan on using it in cooler weather. What kind if heat does it have, furnace? if so is it ducted? Thanks

I would suggest Googling the particular model and then looking at some up for sale; You might also talk with the people/business selling it to see what information they can offer.
Most RVs have ducted furnaces.

CAG, thanks! I googled the year and model info and all it says is that the heat is "Automatic".?

From pictures I've seen, the heat is not ducted. There is a typical thermostat on a wall, and the furnace outlet is under the fridge.

What do you considered cooler weather.

We camp in our htt, with the bunk ends down into the low 20's, and our htt is just fine. Down to about 30, an electric space heater is enough to keep the htt warm. I'm sure in a fully enclosed it would do excellent.

All TT have a ducted forced air furnace heat. In Jay feathers I normally see the ducting run through the cabinet bases. Some supply a little heat to the underbelly, to keep the tanks warm. On that floor plan I recommend looking to see if it has heat registers in the floor, otherwise I don't see how it would get the heat to the bathroom and bedroom.

If you plan to use it where electric is included in you rate, carry an electric heater. We also have heated mattress pads.

If we are plugged in, we use space heaters, and electric from RV park! Save the propane for later date! Thanks

Interesting. I ran a couple of videos on YouTube and it doesn't appear to have any ducting for heat. Surprised as our little 19H is ducted throughout. Going to be tough to get heat up into the front bedroom without, but there are no spaces for above floor ducting and no in floor ducts evident anywhere.

There is fully ducted AC throughout, but unless they tied into that by running a duct up behind the fridge, it won't serve the furnace. I don't think I've ever seen this done.

You might consider adding supplemental heat to the AC unit if it is not already there. This would be ducted throughout the trailer but only works with AC power, and really only adds enough heat to supplement, not replace, the propane furnace.

I have a 2018, and no, the furnace is not ducted..... Not sure who the rocket scientist was who came up with this design on this size of an RV. One single outlet for heat!
