Under belly rope lights

Anyone added rope lights under the outside edge of the camper, if so how did you do it. Thought about added some.

More Subtle than Awning Lights

I did mine several summers ago. Works extremely well. The adhesive is really strong and sticks to the cloroplast and under frame rail really well. I did take extra measures to waterproof the transformer box. Very affordable off Amazon. I tend to use the blue/purple fades and they are most pleasing. Mine has brightness control which is good. I also turn them off, along with any other lights, when retiring for the night as they are distracting. I was able to hard wire a plug into my solar prep for power. I like to use them instead of the Awning LEDs, which are way too bright.

I have not seen any recent posts on the subject. I would guess 7-8 years ago there was a lot of posts on the subject.

If I was going to install it, I would use the heavy plastic PEX tubing clips. Replace the nails with screws.

I have a roll of rope lighting. I lay it on the ground about once a year.

I installed rock lights designed for off road use, blue tooth control and a bonus is they have tons of colors. They are mounted with screws and made out of metal. Controller is waterproof so no worries there. Did figure out something not something I like doing but when arriving late at night even with back-up lights on trailer still hard to see site side turn on lights turn them to white and I can see site on both sides makes it a ton easier.

Not rope lights, but I added a set of these from Amazon, cleaned the corroplast right down the center with alcohol and added clear gorilla tape every 3ft as insurance. Ran 1 to front and 1 to rear. They worked great for about 2 months then both of the ends stopped working 6' from the center. I haven't been underneath yet to check them but I suspect poor solder connections where they are spliced inside broke loose.
