Where is the battery disconnect switch?

I just bought a 2013 Eagle 324BTS travel trailer in great shape. We are excited to get camping in it! It's our first Jayco.

Where can I find the battery disconnect switch? I'd rather disconnect the batteries than leave the trailer plugged in while in storage.

If no switch came standard on these trailers, where have people installed them?

Thanks,
Matt

Probably didn't come with one, most don't. Somewhere on the tongue close to the battery box would be the best place. Link to some videos: https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q...itch&FORM=VDRE

I don’t think most trailers have them as standard equipment. I’m adding one this weekend. It will go somewhere within easy reach near the battery box.

Just added this one under the propane tanks on the tongue. Going to add a second battery and run it through there too.Click image for larger version

Thanks. I have/had 4 travel trailers...2 of them had the switch from the factory and 2 of them didn't (all Forest River products). Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing it!

This trailer has 2 batteries, so I'll get the same switch ASTMedic. It's nice to be able to separate the batteries...if one goes bad you can easily keep it from frying the other.

That's why I went with it. I like the idea of isolating them or running them both as needed. That's the bluesea switch off Amazon.

With the space on my tongue I'm stuck with 2 group 24's but wanted to do 2 27's for the extra 100ah but nothing I can do about it.

This trailer has room for a group 24 on one rack and a group 31 on the other.

The group 31 battery that came with the trailer was old, so I swapped it out with a nice group 27 AGM deep cycle battery I already had. The group 24 battery that came with the trailer is a brand new Interstate "Marine/RV" battery. I'll probably leave that one on there, but keep them isolated due to the different resting voltages of the 2 battery types.

I have had one equipped and 2 without and added as aftermarket. Put it as close to the battery as possible. Mine is attached to the battery in my fifth wheel.

My new TT has one inside the front pass thru storage compartment. Not 100% sure it disconnects everything from the battery, but I use a small trickle charger direct to the battery to maintain it.

Good idea keeping them isolated. My understanding is you should avoid connecting in parallel different types of batteries (AGM and FLA).
