There's not a whole lot out that way......that's smack dab in the middle of the Permian Basin....oil and gas fields as far the eye can see. Chance are which ever way the wind is blowing you're going to get crude oil, sulpher gas, smells to enhance your pleasures.....there is an oil drilling museum there in Midland just off of I-40 which has a big parking lot that's empty at night and last time I was through there at night, I saw a few RVs parked there. You want to beware just pulling on to any of the country section roads and boondocking for the night....oil fields and pump storage areas all are heavily signed as to "Toxic Gasses" and it's not just to scare folks away. On top of that most field access roads are actually owned by the leasing companies and they don't take lightly to folks just pulling over for the night.....expect to be interrupted during the nigh by either a field hand, company security or county sheriff or an endless line of fracking sand haulers......You might want to think about pushing on further west of Odessa towards the Saddleback Mountains. Where I-20 and I-10 merge.....if I remember correctly there are a few rest stops along there and closer to Saddleback there are some RV areas.
