Mirror mirror on the ...........TV
Just interested on what mirrors all the campers are using on there Tow Vehicals.
I did not think of this earlier and we are heading out on June 14 for the weekend. i think the factory mirrors on my 2011 Sierra will be just fine for the trip. but if upgrade is needed some pointers would be helpful.

Tow Mirrows
I use a set of CIPA slip-on mirrors designed for my GMC Sierra. They're easy to put on and take off. I also had a set for a GMC Suburban that I used to pull a horse trailer.

I use the OEM towing mirrors that came on my truck with the Max Tow package. They are ginormous and will extend out about an additional 4" on each side when towing. I find that they already stick out plenty far enough to see around my trailer and pretty much run them in the undeployed mode unless I want to look really cool.

Universal Towing Mirror for Ford Explorer
I have spent over a year searching for good quality towing mirrors for my 2007Ford Explorer. During my search, I used the less than impressive suction cup mirrors. These kept falling off if the truck mirror wasn't perfectlly clean or if it was too windy. Also, due to the different shape of the Explorer mirror, most universal mirrors did not fit/attach properly.
Finally, I have found a universal mirror that is stirdy and strong that won't fall off. I have never seen so far behind my trailer before! These mirrors are a must have!
Here is a link to the company's website:

This is a British company, but I managed to find them in the Ottawa, Ontario (Canada) area at Primo Trailer Sales.

My 2003 F-350 came with extendable towing mirrors, like McFarmall's, and I can see anything I need to behind the 33-foot 5er. No aftermarket mirrors needed.

X3 on the McKesh mirrors.
I'd still be using the set I bought in 2001 if my new truck did not come with extendable tow mirrors.

I have the Mckesh mirrors as well. I always had trouble adjusting the right mirror. I could never get it so I could easily see the right lane. The mirror head has no tilt function up and down so it was hard to get it in the right position. Last week on the I-5 I heard a whistling sound and noticed the mirror had slid down below the truck mirror. I noticed that I could see the right lane perfectly. That's it! I pulled over and tightened the strap and am happy I had that happen. I wouldn't have thought of positioning the mirror that low.
