No Power

Whenever I disconnect from shore power I loose all power in the trailer. The battery is charged and still allows me to use the power jack. I have checked the breakers and they all seem fine, none are tripped. I have not had a chance to check the fuses yet. If it is not a fuse what else could it be? Any advice would help and maybe save me a trip to the dealer. Thanks in advance.

Do you have a battery disconnect switch? Mine recently failed and I too lost all power when not hooked up to shore power, but including the tongue jack which was also wired to the switch. I would check those fuses though.

Possibly you reversed the battery leads (if only for a second) and blew the reverse polarity fuse in the converter. The jack has it's own fuse and does not draw 12V through the converter.

Good Luck....

I got it!! It was the fuse running out from the battery. I should of checked it first as it happened to me when I hooked the battery up back in April. Must not be my week for fuses as I also blew the one in my truck the runs the lights on the trailer. Both fixed now. Thanks.

Similar issue here. New Camper - Only some 12V power on Battery?

120v connected, everything works.
12v only, the electric lift works and I have seen a red light on in the fuse box - so it gets juice.

I replaced the blown 30amp fuse in the fuse box. Checked all other ones the fuse box.

I checked the inline fuse from the battery, near the battery compartment. Also checked the green (ground?) encasement fuse.

What am I missing? What else could it be?

Welcome to the forum. First what type of unit do you have and secondly it may be better to start a new thread to get better response......
