It beats running a rope from tree to tree or across your awning supports to hang up wet things to dry.

Not tacky at all. Looks good. You will see many made similar that attach there or on the ladder. We have a smaller one that comes in handy at times.

I like it, might even copy it. As far as "tacky" goes I don't think there's an issue. Almost everyone who sees it thinks "I might do that too". And as travelers, MOST of us are more functional and comfort oriented. I'm sure there are those who are appearance conscious. The Grand Canyon (just for an example) is the same if you spent the night in an expensive MH or a tent.

Many CG's will not let you string lines that attach to trees but have no problem as long as it is on the camper so everyone's happy.

Just curious what everyone thought as I had a guy stop and say "a lot of campgrounds where we stay wouldn't allow that". I didn't ask him what campgrounds, and he was not rude at all. He complemented me on what a nice looking trailer I had.

... first all agreeing with Norty1, and we have never stayed at a CG, public or private, that wouldn't allow that. If they did, I would consider hanging a pair of undies on the antenna.

It's only tacky if you won't tell me what you used for bumper mounts

There is nothing wrong with doing that. I'd do it but it's not really practical on a hybrid. In several of the Michigan campgrounds that we frequent, there aren't any trees big enough to support a clothesline. The big trees were all Ash and have been killed by EAB and many of the pine trees are dying because of a fungus.

Great idea! Think I'll "borrow" the design and build one myself.

Absolutely its tacky... that's why it's so great for camping =)! I like the idea, when we go to the lake or swimming in a park's pool we always have wet towels and suits and no decent place to have them dry. I hang them over the awning support poles... but they eventually slide down and become a huge tangled wet mess.
This is a great solution for a very real problem. I'm not sure how or why any rv park would not allow it...
