Quality Control ??

I purchased a 2017 Jayco Eagle 317rlok as an upgrade to my 2015 Laredo 297rl in April this year. The Jayco Eagle is a much nicer 5th wheel over the Laredo but also at a much higher cost. But Jayco's quality control leaves much to be desired compared the the Keystone Laredo. I don't know if it is the manufacturer or the dealership that is responsible for the out the door quality. I've had the Jayco out twice since the purchase 2 months ago and between trying to get all the features to work and making repairs its a little frustrating. At this time the problems have been:
1) Finding the 2 valves to get water to the residential refer.
2) Cleaning up water off the floor around the island, because the drain trap was not connected.
3) Modifying the under stove panel because the gas line was under stress lifting up the panel.
4) Bathroom shower hose will not connect properly and keeps blowing off. I replaced it with an upgrade shower head and hose.
5) Shower panel not fastened to the wall. 2 of the fasteners not installed properly. Will need to get new fasteners to repair. Still and open item.
6) Drawer under the oven did not have a proper back drawer support. I added the support.
7) USB outlets in bedroom has no power to them. Yet to be repaired.
8) Slideout / Awning remote control does not work.

None of these issues at show stoppers but when you purchase a expensive camper you expect some quality. Don't get me wrong, we love the unit but had higher expectations.

Again I agree not good, but had your dealer run water to test faucets, shower, drains, operated all the remote functions and checked all elec outlets as they are supposed to do you wouldn't be having those issues.

Quality Control??? Yeah right......
You are the one what has to finish to your standards (at least that's what I have done for the last 50 years). Well glad you like your unit and you will get it up to par.
We like our Jayco and have done a lot of work to it to make it our own. Its like a home, you maintain it.............you'll reap the benefits.

I have a NorthPoint 377 but have possible solutions to #1 and #8.

I found my two valves after calling Jayco. One was under the island sink in the corner after removing the corner panels under the sink. The other was behind the set of drawers to the left of the stove. I was able to follow the water line which I saw by removing the drawer under the stove. Jayco said the valve would be under the stove but it wasn't. I did see the line and followed it, removing the drawers until I was able to access the valve.

My remote control wouldnt work and it wasn't discussed at my walk through other than saying it is a remote. I had to call LCI because I didn't have the PIN code. They told me how to reset the remote and now it works.

Hope that helps.

I read over the week end that RV production is at all time record levels. Coupled with historic low employment levels in Northern Indiana and, to me, that spells a lot of quality issues. IMHO
