Hi all, my wife & I own a 2008 28BHS. We camp mainly in western IL & eastern IA. with 2 other families.
I am retired Navy & was a mechanic on the best fighter jet ever (F14 Tomcat) gone but not forgoten. I am now working for a CO. that makes robotic welding workcells.
Welcome Ted. Glad to see another military and midwesterner on here. I have a Jay Feather 197 and currently residing in NC. Have you ever been down to the Shawnee Natl Forest down in S. Illinois? Beautiful area down there. I was born and raised in S. Indiana.
My first trip is next weekend. Spent yesterday getting everything ready...although it would have been a good weekend to go camping...it was 80 yesterday. Happy Camping.
Dan

Hi Ted and welcome to the Jayco Owners forum! Have you heard of Oelwein IA? Turned out to be a neat little area to camp/tour in when we traveled to Milwaukee last August.
Sounds like you had a neat career in the military. Here's a fun thread you can participate in when you get the time.... HERE
