Are you kidding me right now!?!?!? We decided to get a jump on doing the Natchez/Blueridge Parkways before the gas prices went up in 2012! Ha! Now we hear that $5 a gallon might hit this Spring! Man! So maybe we won't do both parkways this year. I really hope to at least do the Natchez Pkwy!

We heard it could be $5 not by 2012 but as soon as Spring 2011.

We need to blame somebody. Last time prices were up it was Bush/Cheney fault. Who do we blame on this go around?

Perfect timing too, not that it ever is.
I guess I'm lucky down here compared to others. Wow.
And BTW, what the heck happened to diesel? It was always cheaper than regular, and then it just shot past in price and has stayed there ever since!

I am also pretty tee'd off about the prices but have been itching to go camping so bad, I will just fill up the tank and eat spam instead of sirloins if I have to......as far as the diesel prices, I can't explain w/o getting too political...

Camper 10
We are paying 3.05 gas, 3.25 Diesel in Texas. I have made plans for 2 trips this summer instead of 3 trips. I will just stay longer when I go. I can play the gas game, when gas goes up for no reason!

When we arrived here in FL on Feb. 1st. diesel was 3.32/gal and gas was 2.99/gal. This morning diesel is 3.54/gal and gas is 3.19/gal. That is the least expensive place I can find. Other stations near the interstates are higher.:lightning::lightning: This is not going to change soon. If you don't produce a material needed for an industrial society to exist, the price of that material will increase.

Due to who we are obligated to visit vs who we can actually visit with the new gas prices this Spring..... It looks like we aren't going to make it to the East coast or the Blueridge pkwy. At this point, I think we can still see once more my centanarian aunt in Milwaukee, down to do the Natchez Pkwy, and them home via Phoenix to pick our granddaughters (summer break) with a stop in Jayco Friendly Texas. Man, I really wish we could do our original plans, but maybe in a few years we can finish the Pkwy tour.....
