Gave my Trojan batteries a full charge with my Xantrex stand-alone charger. Took 4 hours of generator run time. Then I switched the charger to "Condition" mode and ran the generator another 7 hours to stir up the electrolyte.

Several things today

Applied four packages of 2' long (4 each, or 16 total) reflective stripes all over the exterior in strategic locations. Especially desired night visibility on the back of our camper as we expect to pull slowly int our driveway off our 45mph road with limited visibility at night. I.e., I want to be seen and not rear ended...

Included bumper, vertical stripes on back, sides and front of the rig. Photo attached.

Also tested TV and radio, all speakers and listened to the Panthers destroy the Cowboys on the outside speakers while cleaning the camper. Continued moving camping supplies from our Fleetwood Niagara pop-up to the Jayco.

To round out my Thanksgiving Day, made two round-trip flights to pickup and dropoff my daughter who otherwise due to distance would not have been able to attend Thanksgiving dinner. High pressure system over the Southeast allowed for crystal clear skies, nice flying!

Even with all that, had time to demo the camper to a few people that had not seen it yet AND enjoy a very nice Thanksgiving dinner.

Continuing to get ready...

2-night camping trip planned for this weekend, first in our 5th wheel. Almost all of the remaining camping and cooking gear moved out of our pop-up to the new rig today.

Also tested the air mattress (worked great, held solid all night) and bought two more twin size air mattresses for the extra visitors we expect to host this weekend. Cleaned all the wood, cabinets, and glass, and took apart the electric vent fan in the bathroom and cleaned (looks factory new now).

Bleached and sanitized then turned refrigerator and freezer on AC mode (gas turned off while parked house. We added 50A service to our garage to accommodate for year round use and have an electric oil heater in the unit that keeps it toasty warm inside).

Let canopy freshen and dry out all day (wet from last usage.). Also loctited the same screws mentioned earlier on the roller. Lubricated all moving parts on the awning and the TV antenna, cleaned all visible plastics, cleaned and waxed forward the end-cap. Filled the gap between the electric levelers and the body frame with expanding foam to eliminate water infiltration. (Original foam had deteriorated)

Tested the new Shark vacuum purchased for the camper- works great! Rechargeable and just the right size for road trips. Should do nicely at the beach. Will winterize after this weekend.

Watching the Seahawks/Steelers game, drinking a bit of wine, and picking on my guitar. A nice Sunday.

I replaced one of the bathroom faucet connectors with a crimp on band. It was not leaking but was loose and felt damp every now and then.

Feel better now.

Removed my pair of Trojan T-105 batteries and washed them off with soapy water. Wire brushed the terminals. When I reinstalled them, I reversed the battery's positions. Cleaned the connecting cable terminals before reattaching them to the batteries. Once connected, treated the terminals with battery terminal protector spray.

After a full charge, I'm now getting an extra couple tenths of a volt storage. A worthwhile project. Tomorrow, generator maintenance is scheduled.

Made a reservation yesterday, cancelled it today. Just too much going on this weekend. It's getting closer and closer to our busy season at work, and camping keeps getting pushed back and moved around. Before you know it, I'll be winterizing the trailer for the late winter and early spring, and won't see it again until April. It's so depressing; this is typically our heavy camping season from October through January. This year we've been out once...
