I know the concern with the flip foot. Have been using it for years, and ALWAYS make sure it is locked before loading full weight on it. Just takes a few seconds to make sure it is locked, but the flip saves me a TON of time and bending over when setting / taking up trailer.
It's like anything else, once you learn the idiosyncrasies, it all works out.

Shook the pine tree droppings from my awning, then swept my rug clean.

Over the weekend...
Removed the cover, started the fridge, purged the propane, swept.

Installed a night light in the bathroom.

Flushed and filled the water system.

Just have to add food and we'll be ready for camping!

I had been using the flip foot for years as well. Thing is, things fail. It looked locked like it always has. I'll be building my own foot from here on.

Got it dirtier
It's on its first trip. So far 4000 miles and almost three weeks living in it
There are issues. The monitor panel is crap says we have no power and the tanks are all full.
We have been using campground bathrooms and dump stations so we know the lights lie.
We're in Sedona AZ good we got a little unit it's done several tens of thousands of feet mountain climbing and descending
Sway command has been a godsend

Ready to GO!

All packed, and the TV is hooked up. We leave for California tomorrow morning, by way of NE, CO, NM, and AZ.
