Jay Flight SLX Baja - 30lb Propane tank support
I've been a bit puzzled by the lame propane tank mounting on the Jay Flight SLX Baja models - just seems odd given that the unit is pretty solid. It also seems that there are not any decent accessories or covers for single 30lb tanks either which doesn't help. After searching to see what others may have done I combined a couple of suggestions I came across to keep the tank from flopping side to side. For about $15 at Lowes I got some 1/4" all-thread, steel sleeves and a ratcheting tie-down strap. I cut the all-thread to 16" in length and fastened one to the left back cross bar and the other to the right front cross bar. The steel sleeves provide a guide for the ratchet strap. I'm still using the original two bolts to prevent the tank from twisting. Very solid now and no more flopping side to side.
