The day finally arrived. We left early this morning to drive the 75 miles to pick up our new 2015 Whitehawk 20MRB today. Had the 2007 KZ JAG trade-in in tow through some really crappy rainy Pacific Northwest weather on the way north. Also co-incited with the morning rush hour commute.
Once we got to the dealer, the weather (or Jayco) gods were smiling upon us! The rain had subsided and it actually got warm enough to remove our coats while we did the "Walk Around" as Blade RV in Mt. Vernon WA prefers to call the PDI. After that, the less than fun task of moving batteries and WDH from the KZ to the new Whitehawk 20MRB took a bit of time.
OK. I know you want to see the new rig:
Just the 20MRB:
It didn't take too long to get the Andersen WDH to the new lash up:
The weather coming home late in the afternoon wasn't any more stellar than the morning drive. we managed to hit the afternoon commute with more rainfall and some heavy head winds. The Andersen did a pretty good job of keeping the new Jayco straight. Although the new trailer is the same weight as the KZ, it is about three feet longer. It was towed home empty and I think it will be a bit better once all of the camping gear is added.
I know those of you here on the forum that have purchased new rigs can appreciate my enthusiasm. And those still waiting to get their new rigs, you are in for a good rush of euphoria when you pick up your rigs!
Lastly, I'd like to than all of you for welcoming a new member of this forum as warmly as you have. It is appreciated! The information I have garnered from all of you has been invaluable the last two weeks as we waited to pick up our new rig.
Although my wife and I are not new to towing travel trailers (32 years) and have purchased numerous used units, this is our first new rig since 1986 and our first Jayco. We are very excited to do our first shakedown cruise!

Lastly, I want to thank Brett, our sales rep, and his crew at Blade RV. They were very nice to work with!
