Question Refrigerator not working on AC

Recently purchased a 184BH and it has a Norcold N302L refrigerator.

I cant seem to get the refrigerator to cool when on AC. Looking at the manual it says you just change the dial on the front to the one that looks like a plug.

After letting it sit for a bit I didnt detect any change on the inside. I removed the lower outside vent and found an AC outlet in there with a cord that was not connected. I assumed that this was for the Norcold but nothing seems to have changed.

Any suggestions? Are there any test points that I could throw a meter on to make sure its getting power? Are there any indicators (sight, sound, smell) that would tell me its running?

I know it can take a day to fully cool down but I would expect to see some change after 20 min or so.

Yes that is where the fridge plugs in. Silly question... Did you have you trailer plugged in when you tried the AC? Did you check the circuit breaker under the couch?

Try to bypass the campers electrical system and plug in straight into an extension chord. That will be the best way to check your fridge status.

In addition to above......(As I recall) that outlet is in a wet location....have you checked the GFI reset for the TT?

Those are both great suggestions that I didnt think of. Also it appears that the is a fuse on the back of the unit also that I could have checked.

However, this apparently is a lesson in patience. After plugging it into the outlet and doing nothing more for the night I came out today to a cold refrigerator.

I think the most important thing here is that I learned a few things in the process about how the unit works and some great ideas for troubleshooting it in the future.

Thanks for the help guys!
