6 pin to 7 pin trailer wiring

Hey guys looking at buying a tow vehicle, it currently has 6 pin on it, how do I go about getting it to a 7 pin?

Welcome to the forum.

I believe there are adapters you can buy for this. Check Camping World, etrailer, and Walmart.

Go into a good auto parts store and ask for a plug and play 7 pin. Under the rear bumper you will find a wire harness with a plug separate that plug and plug the 7 pin in .. your done the wiring.. now just install the 7pin connector to the bumper

Be sure to note the connectors come with PINS and BLADES type connections.

The RV INDUSTRY uses the BLADE TYPE connections for the most part.



If your truck has the PIN connections just be sure to look for a PIN to BLADE connection ADAPTER as well.
