Body lean?

Just interested to see how many have noticed body lean on the Super Duty trucks. Seems to be a huge debate on other forums as to why Ford hasn't corrected the lean until 2016. I hear some say, "They ALL lean". That is not true. A friend of mine has a 2013 F350 6.7 LB CC and has no lean at all. Some do, some don't. Ford claims it's normal for up to a 3/4" lean, mostly to the left. They offer shims to shim the body mounts to make it aesthetically correct. Replacing springs WILL NOT correct factory body lean. Can't tell you how many customers come in complaining about body lean and demand Ford correct it. Can't blame them. They spend 50,60,70K for a Super Duty, and they expect it not to have body lean, as would I. 2017's have not been affected by the lean that I've seen so far. The lean is mostly due to midship tanks mounted front to rear on the left, DEF tank and pump also being on the left. As well as their accompanying parts. Approx. an additional 540 lbs. mounted on the left so, it's gonna lean unfortunately.

So, that being said, I was wondering if anyone else here with a Super Duty has noticed body lean? And if so, have you measured the difference?

I look at trucks religiously, I have not noticed this very often, in fact maybe only a couple times. Interesting for sure

Reading this reminds me of the "orange peel paint corrosion" around the time I got my 2004 F-350. The forums were ablaze with discussions over it. The paint had orange peel to it, the rail dust would get into the creases and cause a rust like appearance. Some people made the leap that it was partially due to the hazardous materials that may be present on and along railroads.

On a forum, one gentleman complained that he had orange peel paint. He got a lighted, 10 times magnified, magnifying glass to look for it. He still couldn't see it, but he knew his truck had it. He was severely disappointed when the dealership would not do anything to fix it (they couldn't see it either)

Moral of the story: Sometimes, things will whoop up the masses on the forums and before you know it, the problem is of epic proportion when it really isn't much of an issue.

In the case of truck lean, people will go out and measure their truck and determine they have a problem. Did they verify tire pressure side to side first? Nah..... Check how their in bed tool box is loaded? Nah.....

Heck, my F-350 may have it, but I don't really care to go looking for a problem.
