Critique my new Truck please
I finally found a truck in stock that I *think* meets my current and future needs for at least the next 10 years.
Here's the window sticker - http://www.windowsticker.forddirect....jDn85LO%2FE%3D
The sticker doesn't mention the payload, but after configuring the same truck on fords website, it's showing 3740 pounds for payload.
X-Plan on this truck is 56,013 and I doubt I can beat that, but will try. I'm scheduled to test drive it later this week, and knowing me, it's coming home the same day.
For you Ford guys, am I missing any must have options? I was hoping to find one in stock that has the giant moon roof, + the marker lights on the top, but that's unnecessary bling. Really, I'll have to factory order it if I want everything exactly to my specs, and I don't have 3 months to wait. (going to south by south west next month and I'm not taking the 150)

Looks like 70K USD. I can't look at it anymore though. I'll have to own one. The Platinum trim is really quite awesome and me wants badly.
It took me a month to convince DW that the 150 wasn't worthy, especially since I only owe 2 thousand on it at this point. I can thank a lot of people here on the forum for giving me the 'ammo' I needed to convince her. If I were to get the Platinum, I'd never get to drive it anyway (she'd take it over like all of my trucks), I want it just basic enough to where she doesn't feel obligated to take it from me. Very nice truck though, kinda drooling.

My F-250 is an XLT trim and has all the bells/whistles of the lariat package exept dual climate control/leather seats [which I didn't want]. All things considered though, my next truck will be a Platinum.

Looks like it will be a nice truck. I can never find one that I like so I always have to order. Ask your dealer about Program #12996: Take new retail delivery from dealer stock by 04/03/2017 for a $1000 rebate, it may not be available in all markets but worth asking.

My highly biased cheap Charlie attitude sways me away from the Platinums; but in actuality I really don't like the visual treatment - there is too much bling slapped palong the rear quarter panels - Plus there's that shiny tailgate plate.
Otherwise I like.
Just an add-on, I don't care one way or the other (cloth or leather), but I really like the King Ranch colors ... I believe I once saw a Laramie truck with the KR leather. That would appeal to me if I was again in the market.

Well then I might approve of that ... provided it came in WHITE - as it is undisputed white ones provide both better MPG AND HP.

I'm in the very early stages of downsizing from a Ram 3500 to perhaps an F150. Spent time at a local Ford store yesterday speaking with a salesman who schooled me on what configuration I would need to tow our WhiteHawk. Then for laughs, I asked him if he could show me any F150 Crew Cab on the lot since I've not paid much attention to half tons in forever. He walks me to one that was being prepped for delivery, beautiful graphite paint and well optioned. I went weak in the knees and had to leave lest I do something foolish (and deadly from the DW's point of view)..............Funny how that happens.

One of my coworkers just bought a 2017 Chevy 2500 that he said was sticker priced around $50k. I'm assuming he put very little down on it because he was forthcoming in saying he has payments of $900 a month for 7 years!!! Math: 84 payments at $900 = $75,600 for a truck! I damn near crapped my pants when I heard that!
Personally, unless I hit the lottery, I'll be buying slightly used if/when when I upgrade

I agree with you!!
I definitely need to hit the lottery too. Yeah I will be looking at used myself.
I think they have like 20 year car loans now........still wouldn't do me any good.
