Rear sway bar

I have a 2002 f250 with the short wheel base. I have put on new rear shocks, timbrens and oversized overload spring bump stops because of TV wiggle. The rear end feels much more stable now. I'm wondering if adding a rear sway bar will improve stability even further. Is it worth it?

Short wheel base, not dually right?

By TV wiggle, do you mean trailer sway?

Are you using a weight distribution hitch and sway control?

Are your tires on the truck load range E and inflated to the maximum?

A sway bar is also called an 'anti roll bar.' They are designed to reduce the vehicle body roll from side to side. On cars they have them on the front to resist the car body roll to the 'outside' on corners. In my opinion, unless the trailer sway is causing your truck body to roll from side to side, a sway bar may stiffen the suspension a bit more, but won't stop the rear of the truck being pushed from side to side by the trailer.

See previous post ??'s. If no on the WDH then that is your first step. If you are using a WDH hitch, then you should add the sway bar to it. The rest of the stuff you have already done probably would not have been necessary if you had done the WDH and sway first.
