Ants in RV park?
We are going to be camping in Southern California in March. There are millions of tiny ants that invade the vehicles. I've heard most people put circles of Borax around any part of their TT/RV, etc. that touches the ground, and they won't cross it, but recently heard a person say they use baking soda. Any opinions on which works better to keep them out?

I definitely have heard of using Borax, but not Baking Soda.

You put a circle around the TV and TT to keep the ants out BUT what happens to the ants that get trapped inside of the circle??

I would sprinkle on ground and back wheels over it, and put enough down so the jacks sit in it. Not around the whole units.

In spite of what I did or because of it, we didn't have an ant problem camping this year.
Here's what I did: For each jack (4 stabilizers and the front), I topped the plastic Camco block with a wood block. Before the jack contacted the wood, I sprayed the wood with insecticide/ant killer. Before running the slide out, I sprayed the ground all around the tires.

Personal experience from our last trip to LA: We spent a wonderful week at East Shore RV Park, where the lawns are beautifully maintained and watered ~ such a great place to stay and lots of wildlife (including raccoons, opossum, and tiny skunks)! With the lawn watering, we did have ants visit us ... but the RV park's store sold insect spray and we sprayed it on the asphalt around our TT (and especially around the portions that touched the ground like the tires and stabilizers) and the hook-up podium, and they stopped visiting. Dog also picked-up fleas, but a quick stop to a pet store for supplies ended that too.

I always spray anything that comes in contact w/ the ground. I use that Ortho home permiter guard stuff you can get at Lowes or Home Depot. Levelers, tires, sewer pipe, drinking water hose, electrical line, cable line. Etc.
I really hate ants.
