This works pretty good but with the newer trucks some of the 12 Volt sockets goes off after a few minutes when you pull out your ignition key. Be sure the one you want to use is always 'ON'...
I only have two Always Hot 12V sockets in my 2010 Ford truck... One on the floor in the center console for the back seat area use and another one inside the center console large storage area. The 12V socket on the dash console goes OFF after a few minutes when the Ignition Key has been pulled.
Recently I have been plugging in a small 10WATT Solar Panel laying the windshield dash area and ran into this problem for me.
