Girard tankless, propane, power and blower, no ignition
It took some head scratching, and a few aspirin after my beautiful bride's steaming shower turned to a polar plunge. Everything seemed right, yet my tankless water heater wouldn't ignite. I skimmed both the water heaters manual as well as my jayco manual.
I could find a reference to the LED blink code of '1 Air fault' but no instructions on how to remedy it.
After some testing of power and a check on the air flow switch, which was good, I determined that either I had a bad connection or a bad relay as I could jumper around the switch and immediately get it to ignite. -Neither of those were correct, though; there is a temperature safety switch.
By depressing the safety switch, I was able to restore power to the air flow sensor and get the hot water flowing again. As best I can tell, this isn't documented anywhere in the manuals and the switch was incredibly small. Hopefully, if someone else is having this issue, this will help.
