Redhawk
My wife and i just purchased out first motor home after having a popup. We selected a Redhawk 29xk and cant wait to use it this spring. I'm just wondering why there aren't many Redhawk threads here. I hope we didn't choose the wrong model.

We have a Greyhawk and from what I've read - there's nothing wrong at all with a Redhawk. The Greyhawk seems to be a Redhawk with bells and whistles added.
Enjoy your new RV!!

I have a 2016 Redhawk 29XK. Drove it from Florida to Oregon and return in June 6,636 miles with no problems. Average mileage was 9.8 MPG.

We've had 2 seasons of successful, problem free use out of our "new" 2013! I think you'll enjoy it!

We got the Redhawk because it saved us about $20,000 in "stuff" that we didn't need or want that was on the Greyhawk. All we had the dealer add was slide toppers and and two thermostatically controlled fans in the roof hatches.
One of the big savings was in weight, because we didn't get levelers, the Redhawk was about 400 pounds lighter.
I'm sure that you'll enjoy it. Also if you got the six speed transmission, you should get around 11 MPG. We just 11.2 MPG from WV to Florida. Sweet!

Congratulations on your new Redhawk. You picked the right one. We have a 26X1 (Chevy chassis) that we enjoy very much. Perhaps there aren't many postings about the Redhawk because most of us are quite satisfied and have nothing to complain about. Although my 2016 had to have an engine replaced at 4,000 miles, I'm still pleased with the coach. Jayco was exceptional in providing support and Chevy slowly but surely stepped up to the plate and shipped a new factory crate engine to the dealer. Jayco sent a mobile unit to winterize the unit while it was awaiting repairs at the dealer. Enjoy your new Redhawk.

Wow it sounds like Jayco really stepped up to the plate for you. Now all I need to do is figure out how to make the tv work lol. The manuals aren't all that good.

That worthless Furrion TV failed on our first trip. The dealer would have replaced it, but just with another Furrion. I went out and bought 2 Samsung smart TV's... a 32" to replace the Furrion, and a 24" for the bedroom.

About to take possession, or be possessed
Our first MH to own, Redhawk 26XD will be possessed Dec 1! Yes, excited. We have been shopping for "essentials" since making the down payment last week: broom, toilet paper, melamine, and raiding the home linen closet for electric mattress bad, sheets and down comforters. Dealer will give of the "opportunity" to park in their back lot to shake out any bugs for 2 nights. Had them replace plastic toilet with Dometic 310. And looking into adding "magic tiles" to backslash in kitchen and bath. I was afraid this MH would make me possessed!

You sound almost as excited as we are. Amazon is a wonderful thing. Today I received my sewer hose and assorted parts and pieces. I'm like a kid at Christmas time lol. We picked ours up November 11th and have had it in the driveway. It goes into storage tomorrow. I can't wait until spring.

We don't intend to do a storage thing...living in southern NV, we are raring to move out a bit, but this weekend the temps will be in the low 30's...don't know if being in the low 100s is better?? We will be traveling with 4 Bedlington terriers...unfortunately, that means several early morning trips outside in cold weather. DOWNFALL! in the past 4 days, we have planned many trips (mentally took them too) and spent too much money!. Thanks for the feedback!

Congratulations and welcome to the forum, JudyB.
You do have the heat on in the unit, correct?! It sounds like it isn't winterized and like you pointed out, it's getting cold. You certainly don't want fixing broken water lines as the first thing you do with your MH!

I have a quick question. Where on your 2016 do you attach the cable wire for cable tv? I have a compartment in each side with an electric outlet and a cable jack in them but I think those are an "out" to hook up a tv outside. I'm almost thinking someone forgot to install my cable in on my unit. Any info you can give me would be great.
