Shocks on Grayhawk E450
We are new at this and need some help. We have a 31 FK Jayco Grayhawk E450. I looked under the body and could not find any shocks, only the hellwig springs. Is this possible, or am I looking at the wrong thing. I did see coil springs up front, would these be the shocks?
Also, we had an alignment, steer safe and roadmaster swaybar put on and it doesn't seem any better. Any suggestions? We thought we were doing everything right. Looking now to have Bilstein shocks put on but waiting to hear what you all think?
Thanks so much for any help you can offer.

I tried the Bilstein HD shocks on my F150 and had them removed after only a couple hundred miles. Way too firm for me. They transfered every little bump into my seat and steering wheel. Like riding a go-cart. YMMV.

Sometimes the shocks are inside the coil springs. Don't know about the rear, but I would assume there should be shocks on the back also in addition to leaf springs. Check with Jayco or a local RV dealer who handles Jaycos. Did you buy new or from some one personally?

This is a 2011, cutrell01.
I'll give Jayco a call and check with the place I bought the rig new. One or the other should know something. (You would think!)

I just repaced the shocks on my '09 31FS with Bilsteins all around. I also replaced the stock front and rear sway bars with Hellwig bars and the difference was remarkable.
Just came back from a 800 mile trip around Oregon. I should have done this mod a long time ago. The rig was much more stable during cornering a lot less side to side roll which gave me more confidence on twisty roads. It also helped on freeways when being passed by semi's. Even my wife made some positive comments...
If you have the money I'd recommend it in a heartbeat..

They take about 1000 miles to "loosen up" I had the same problem with the Ranchos on my TV.

Call the FRAME manufacture as to where the shocks are... have your serial number ready...

Hi I'm considering new sway bars and shocks for my Jayhawk. On did you order standard replacement shocks or did you go HD and HD swaybars?

Hellwig bar was the 1 1/2" model 7180 on the rear and 1 3/8" 7008 on the front.
Bilsteins were the HD ones 33-187570 on the front and 33-186900 on the rear.
