We just picked up our brand new Starcraft, sorry it's not a Jayco, but close enough. Jayco just didn't have the floorplan we wanted. We spent the first night in it last night. Big thunderstoms and heavy rain. So far no leaks, except for when I forgot to close the bathroom vent. It is heavier than our traded in Jayco X23J and your could tell the truck had to work harder to keep it rolling. The dry weight was listed at 7009 lbs. on the yellow sticker. Tongue weight is very close to that of the X23J, didn't have to change the Equal-I-zer hitch at all! Might try lowering it one hole, the trailer is perfectly level when towing, but looks a bit nose up. My experience is that a tad nose down is better. Here is a couple of pics:

Sorry you couldn't find a Jayco that you liked as well, but congratulations on your new StarCraft! It is a beautiful looking trailer . . . particularly with your T.V. Looks an awful lot like my Eagle. Hope you get many years of enjoyment out of it.

Camper Bob, I agree that all the Jayco's you listed are similar, but they are all have what my wife calls "bus stop seating", a deal breaker for her. The Starcraft has the couch opposite the dinette.

Tried really hard to by a Jayco Eagle, but the floorplan just didn't exist. I would consider the Starcraft equal to the Eagle, maybe missing a few options and upgrades. The black front is beautiful! At least Starcraft is part of the Jayco family.

I get it, all the seating is lined up on the same side... I never really even noticed that. Happy wife = Happy life.
It's a nice trailer and I'm glad you found one you like, and Starcraft is a Jayco company anyway right? I don't know about that black front cap though, down here in Texas, that would turn the bedroom into an oven in a heartbeat. It sure does look nice though, and I bet it's less of an issue in more temperate climates!
