12v aircompressor
Hi ! does anyone use a 12v air compressor while on the road that can run up to 110 PSI ? I just upgraded my tires to G-Rated tires but my little 12v compressor can't handle the pressure.
Any brand to consider ? would like to know if you tested it to 110 PSI because some listing online says 150PSI and when people try it they can't even get 100 PSI

Air Armor's M240 has a operating pressure of 120psi. They are on the pricy side, but it is in a nice self contained kit and works very well for the size. I haven't used mine for a anything big yet but it certainly works a whole lot better than the $50 Lowes one that died after 6 uses.

Gee after looking at that air armor I think you would be better off going with an inverter and 110 pancake compressor. I got one at Harbor Freight that works great does 120 psi and only cost $49.00

I bought a 12V compressor at Northern Tool (I think) that's labeled "Goodyear" that claims to put out 150#. I need 100# for the tires and the little guy does a pretty good job. But has a small volume so I've gotta be patient.

That is what I would like to have done, but the 2.5gal pancake compressor won't fit under the backseat of my truck.

I have one like this off amazon for $50.00 going on 5 years that is good to 150PSI. Compact and 12v.

I keep mine in the RV... but I could also put it in the pickup box (covered)

Viair simply makes great stuff. I suggested the 300p because its large enough without being "too big".
Personally, I went with the "On board air" route, with a 400C compressor, and a 2.5 gallon reserve tank.
I can use it to fill tires with a quick coupler and air hose, or, and its primary function, uses a leveling valve designed to operate the air suspension on nearly all highway trucks and trailers to operate the helper bags in order to maintain a level ride no matter (within reason) what kind of pin weight I have.
The most expensive option to be sure, but one that is well worth it when you consider the increase in stability, never blinding others with your headlights pointed up into the sky and repairing a flat tire with a plug kit and a hose.

The PORTER-CABLE CMB15 150 PSI is the one I have been looking at. I had a problem this past week attempting to put a few pounds in the tires. The old "tire inflator" I have pumped for about 5 mins and after a whole 2 lbs it started smoking and stopped working. Figured it is time to upgrade.

Went with the viair 90p wich is good enough for what I do and i'm very happy it , not problem getting my tires at 100psi
Got it for less than 100$ CND

I see that the Viair ones that are suggested are all powered by cigarette lighter or battery cable. Are these long enough to reach the trailer tires? Would I need an extension of some sort?

No they are not long enough. I use booster cables to reach all tires and I use the 5ver battery.
