2010 Designer 35RLTS - First Cruise
After taking delivery of my new Designer about 7 weeks ago I towed it 35 miles to my home base and didn't move for 5 weeks. During this period I wanted to make sure everything was working normally before my first "cruise". The only problem I had during this time was a small fresh water leak going into the back of the head (Yep, I'm a boater). It just wasn't tightened adequately at the factory. No problems since I "fixed" it.
I also installed two 6 volt golf cart batteries during this time since my first trip was going to be 5 days of boondocking. No problems here and all worked great during the trip. At the end of 5 days the batteries were still at over 50% charge. I only ran the generator each morning long enough to perk the morning pot.
This was a 600 mile trip round trip. On the way home three of the glass lens from the recessed ceiling fixtures fell out. Two of them hit carpet and were fine, but the third one fell on top of one of the slides and broke. I was lucky that I noticed the lens was gone before I put the slide out. That will be something else to check visually before putting the slides out when setting up.
I have to say that one leaky water line and a broken lens isn't much of a warranty list so far.
