Disk Brakes?

My brother in law were discussing our respective fivers the other day and bemoaning the fact that we just can't get to get the trailer brakes adjusted correctly. We seem to go through a lot of front brakes on our tow vehicles (2007 Dodge 3/4 ton diesels). I mentioned the possibility of exhaust brakes and he brought up an article he had read recently in TL magazine about switch the trailer brakes from drum to disk. I was wondering if anyone out there knows about is and if there are thoughts and opinions?

Thanks.

Jim

Exhaust brakes are worth every penny. Best money I ever spent on my truck. Rear pads are original and front pads and rotors replaced once before the exhaust brake install. 07 ram 6spd 130k miles. I miss the brake when I drive my car, it's that good! I put the pacbrake on mine. Excellent on mountain grades.

Trailer disc brakes are supposed to be worth the money as well. I'd do both. At the least, the exhaust brake.

Had an exhaust brake on my 96 7.3l, absolutely worth every penny, and will be done eventually on my current rig. I also have read great things on the disk conversions
