My shocks work well. Don’t know how my LCI shocks would compare to the Joy Rider system. I have a feeling the joy riders would ride better but not sure if it would be 2 times the price better.

It’s still 93 outside with heat index of 97 at 7:00. We had to turn the middle AC off. It’s cold in here.

Mods to 377 RLBH?

Good to hear it got cold. A nice feeling in the summer. Kind of like when you were a kid checking into the Holiday Inn (70s for me) and your room was like 65 inside as the ac was running on high ahead of time. After a hot humid day riding 4 hours in the ‘69 Caprice Classic’s back seat in the middle of two older brothers to the gulf coast, it was heaven!

I’ll keep reading about others reviews on shocks.

It is still 87 outside. Just came back from a walk around the lake after dinner. Temp at BR thermostat is 70, bunk is 70, living room 72. Very chilly in here [emoji3]

BR was set to 70, bunk set to 70, LR set to 72

I don’t think we’ll have any problem cooling the trailer if we go to the beach or the desert in the summer now!

Let’s just hope on those extreme days the campgrounds electrical system doesn’t get overwhelmed, or the city controllers don’t conduct rolling blackouts. At Palo Duro, in that same CG you were in (Mesquite), another host we met there told us that on the backside of that loop, some pedestals were not quite getting 50 amps and when he hosted it, there were many times the circuits got overloaded in the 100 plus degree heat. He told us where to go reset the breaker box.

Sounds like it's doing a good job. Sorry if I missed it in one of your post but did you use another 15,000 or 13,500

Gotcha, when it comes to a/c ( or money) to much is always better than not enough.

Question, to solve the bunk room cooling issue has anyone tried something like this:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06ZXWN3BG..._2JFwBb1EF1574

Or a cheaper option of:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01C82SYZ0..._APFwBbDE3D054

Might be one of my first few mods when mine comes in, if it is still an issue on the 19's.

Those look like they could work. I think I would tape all the ducts first, especially the duct that feeds the bunk. Mine was really leaking a lot of air into the attic and the duct chase.

That is the first thing on my list of mods. Right now, for mods I am thinking (unless any of these are solved on the 19 - have not gotten to see inside one yet) other than the one that I am having the dealer do:
1. Remove black "ring" and tape vent openings
2. Convert loft ladder to have steps instead of spindles
3. Solid Core door into bunk room
4. (Maybe) upgrade toilet from the Dometic 310 that is installed to a Dometic 320 (waiting to hear from Jayco if there is at least 10.5" between the flange bolts and the wall)
5. Somehow add a place for the litter box
6. Add a surge protector (debating built in vs one that goes outside - any suggestions?)
7. Add the inline vent fan (the more expensive one) and put thermostat in bunk room (any suggestions on wire routing?)
8. Build a NUC powered media center with Plex to have my entire movie and TV show collection locally available. Currently have a server running out of my parents house and pulling it in via campground WiFi, but want something local so if we are somewhere where the internet is spotty we can still watch - it always gets spotty at campgrounds when it rains since everyone goes in to watch Netflix/surf the internet which is when we like to watch a movie/put something on for the kids.
9. Any suggestions?

That’s a great list!

I had a thetford toilet and upgraded to the 310 because I didn’t have the space for 320. My guess is you won’t either unless they changed something

I personally like the hard wired EMS simply because it’s one less thing to set up and take down every time

You may also consider the upgrade to wet bolts and HD shackles if your unit doesn’t come with them.

I’d love to see your write up on the media center.

Has anyone checked their smoke detector, lately? This is your wake up call! Tomorrow marks 26 months in our rig, and I’d thought it a good idea to check the smoke detector, after browsing through the owners manual to see if I missed any maintenance items before we take our rig into Jayco Service on Monday.

I come across the smoke detector and it says it’ll beep every minute for 30 days on a low battery. I’ve not heard anything so far. So, I get up on a chair and open the case....NO BATTERY! What the heck? I made the mistake and took for granted it came with one. As owner, I guess I’m guilty as charged. Does anyone remember their dealer walk around, and it was pointed out, “oh, be sure to install a battery in that detector?” Well, the OM never mentioned they’re installed without a 9v battery. The warning label next to it says...you fool, you suck if you don’t test me after I’ve been in storage!

I’ve had way too much fun with everything else in this new lifestyle, and tonight I feel besides myself, even not checking on it after the first year, and after I’ve read many RV fire stories and safety reminders in Trailer Life and Escapees mags and online.

If the manufacturer doesn’t initially install a battery in these things, and neither Jayco and who knows if dealers will (they install the 12v house battery(s) up front), then I strongly suggest that Jayco print up some sticky ribbons battery install notice and hang them on the detector as an important reminder. I will tell the service writer on Monday.

I forgot to ask whose 377 came with a battery in the smoke detector?

Just finished checking mine Darren...no battery either! Going to Walmart on Saturday (our last day here in FL [emoji22]), so I guess I’ll be picking up a 9 volt battery too.
