Angry Slide malfunction

I bought new a 2015 Jayco Eagle 339 FLQS. I have had slide troubles with the Schwintek slide out motors getting out of sync before and had to have one slide rebuilt according to the dealership. This time its with the kitchen slide. First time failure, the controller is flashing the error code for a short between the controller and the motor #2. Long story short (no pun intended) I found that the wires controlling that motor were looped and tie wrapped underneath the carriage above one of the wheels. The loop had drooped to the point the tire had rubbed thru the insulation and partially into the 5 wires controlling the motor itself. In addition the cable had been laid down over a support beam but under the floor eventually pinching it nearly flat. Amazingly negligent construction. After repairing and rerouting the obvious damage to the wires, the controller is still flashing the error code. I must take it in to a shop for repair instead of watching the full eclipse. Not a happy camper. I implore all to think twice about purchasing an RV with Schwintek mechanisms and really examine every inch of the underbelly of your Jayco for dubious construction practices.

Followup on slideout malfunction

Well I got my 5th wheel out of the repair shop, 3 weeks later. $568 for running a new control cable and replacing the schwintek motor which had weakened due to unreliable voltage no doubt. Below is a picture of the motor control wires we found hanging down above one of the trailer wheels, a Jayco manufacturing technique? The repair shop was able to install the new wires out of sight.

Sorry the photo did not post. This response wants the URL of my image and it does not have one. The original response indicated I could only post a video but I tried anyway. I will try to figure another way. Thanks for the headsup.

If the image is on your computer you can select and upload it from the options at the top of that same page.

Thanks Norty but I am unable to find the process to attach the photo. This should be simple and straight forward. I recommend the option be made available as is video apparently, at the time the post is created.
