If you take the access panel loose underneath and look at the slide motor/gear box, it has one 12v source that is spliced to 2 pair of wires going to the slide motor. One is for power and the other is to disable the electric brake. The smaller gauge pair is for the brake. If you need to bring the slide in manually, the instructions are not very clear.
My plan is to remove the wires that power the motor and leave the ones on that power the brake. Then when someone pushes the power button, 12v should disable the motor brake. I don't know what capacity battery would be required but I think 9 to 12v should do it.
If it ever happens, I volunteer to be the one to push the button.
