Water heater issues

Hi all. We just took our 2021 Eagle 319 MLOK out on its first trip this weekend.

1 Is it typical that the fridge will not get that cold if there is too much in it? We never had this issue with our Nordic on our JayFlight.

2. Water heater will not ignite at all. Either Electric or gas. It feels like maybe its just not connecting with the BM PRO and I don't see a manual way to turn it on, any suggestions?

Thank you!

A refrigerator will take much longer to cool room temp products. The more you put in a refrigerator, the harder it is to cool it all fast. It will of course eventually do it but in the meantime, the warmer food will bring temps up dramatically and it'll take longer to cool.

Make sure the switch for the hot water heater on the tank outside is on as well as the one on the command center.

I don't see a switch on the water heater outside and I didn't see anything in the book

Check for continuity on the T-Stat. On a cold water heater, it should be closed. Be sure to disconnect one of the connectors before testing.

Switch is located on the bottom left side of heater under gas burner tube.

Suburbans are. The Likey have an Atwood and those don't have switches on the heater.

120v breaker on for the water heater? Your wet bay valves in the correct configuration for your current needs? Did the water heater work during the PDI?

Oddly enough I don't see water heater labeled on any of my breakers, there is a 2a fuse at the water heater and its good. The water heater by pass is not set to bypass so that should be good. And I don't think we did the hot water at the PDI which is quite honestly probably the issue.

When I get it back home I'll check to see if its getting power, my guess is its the mother board or thermal couple, either way it sucks as its brand spanking new.

Hot Water Tank

Have a 2018 43’ North Point 5th Wheel. After 2 years using the hot water heater, we could not get hot water in any water fixture. Hot water heater fired up, got water hot, but did not send water inside coach.
Learn the problem was the plastic check valve failed. Replace valve with brass type and we got water!

More than likely both gas and electric do not work it is a bad eco t stat. That is the one on the right. Pull both wires off and jumper them together. I have replaced 4 so far and carry a spare set. Usually the circuit board fails either electric or gas. After three boards I now use the dinosaur boards. Aftermarket and they work great. My last WH failure was a bad wire splice.

Water pressure is fine but no hot water flow

Went to use hot water and no flow. Cold water is good. Flipped bypass and there is flow from both. Is there a pump I need to replace? We are full time and no hot water, is not an option! Any ideas? Thanks.

There is a plastic check valve that has been known to go bad. It is right at the top of the tank where the water line connects. Upgraded brass ones are available as a replacement.

I pulled the relief valve out ro run a flush hose. Got a good deal of debris out, but it is brass, with a plastic center rod. Could that be the issue?

Inside, on the back of the water heater is where the check valve is.

The pressure relief valve is unrelated to your problem.

Got it. I'll need to get into the panel inside. Thanks!

Had a brand new 2020 Eagle that someone had over tighten the check valve on the hot water tank so the flow was almost zero because it had distorted the plastic housing. Replaced it with a valterra brass unit and never had an issue after that.

Yes. It was our check valve. Previous comment was correct. Plastic valve was shot. Installed a new brass one. Thanks!

After 4 years my plastic check valve also went bad, just a trickle of hot water. New brass valve fixed that.
