Water Pump

I just replaced the outside city water nozzel because the one-way valve failed. However, now when I am connected to outside water and use any tap, a squealing noise comes from the water pump.

Is their a valve I must close to eliminate this noise in the pump?

Thanks

Are you sure the squealing is coming from the water pump and not the new one-way valve you just installed? I also replaced this valve on one of my campers, and it would make a noise every time I turned the faucet on. Also, make sure your water pump is turned off when you are connected to city water.

X2.....if there was a fault with the pump check valve, your fresh water tank would be filling with water. There should be a fresh water cut-off valve in front of the pump as well as a siphon tube cut off valve....however, the only time you operate these (2) valves is to toggle them both when switching between fresh water tank and siphon tube suction (the clear siphon tube is used to introduce antifreeze for winterizing)

Squeeling can come from low water pressure at a check valve, faulty check valve, kink in a water line (or other water line obstruction).....
