X2.....if there was a fault with the pump check valve, your fresh water tank would be filling with water. There should be a fresh water cut-off valve in front of the pump as well as a siphon tube cut off valve....however, the only time you operate these (2) valves is to toggle them both when switching between fresh water tank and siphon tube suction (the clear siphon tube is used to introduce antifreeze for winterizing)
Squeeling can come from low water pressure at a check valve, faulty check valve, kink in a water line (or other water line obstruction).....
