Triple square bit
I'm minding my own business working in the water compartment trying to make sense of all the waterlines.
I get the paper towel holder off. A number 2 square/ phillips combo, water mixing panel, the same. The entire metal plate? Triple Square bit. A #1,2 or 3 robertson doesn't fit any of the other hundreds of bits that I have don't fit. I'm heading off the find a special, rare, seldom used bit in the us.
Arrgh!

A #2 square should, since it is just a multi-facet Robertson.

You are right though I used a #1 square and I threw them out. They are being replaced with the standard #2/Phillips like the rest of them.

Using that bit tells me they don't want anyone in it. It's not your "Joe Homeowner" bit that everyone has. It's a high torque bit.

Since the screws are high torque it's easier for the assembly workers to strip out the threads. Makes it easier to remove the screws to make repairs. Its a quality control design.

A triple square bit would have 12 points, that one has 8. That’s just a standard double square that a #2 bit should fit. Just like any manufacturing process, there are defects and it was probably under sized. When I had a cabinet shop I used square drive and out of every case, there would be a handful that would not fit the #2 bit. Or you could just buy the correct Double Square Bit

Yikes! RV fasteners! I hunt 'em down!
I've replaced a bunch with right-length, right-diameter, Phillips head, SS if on the outside. Reinforced where screws were insufficient, replaced where screws just plain missed or had sharp ends waiting for fingers, equipment, fabrics like sleeping bags.
This trailer appears to have been assembled by a blind man with a power driver and 10,000 #10 1 1/4" square head screws! Amazing how many screws Jayco can put into a six hour build. And that doesn't even include the final screw if you get the wrong problem with the wrong service rep.
