2014 Eagle Battery box rail mod
Hi, I just bought a 2014 Eagle 314BDS a few days ago. I have been an RV'er years prior. One of the new things I had to learn about using a TT is that you dont just hook up the TT to the ball. You have to have a weight distribution hitch. After doing some research ( that is technical talk for "Googling" :hihi: ). I bought a Husky Centerline hitch, the issue with this hitch is that the spring brackett must be 30" +/- 0.5" away from the hitch mount center point and the 2nd battery rail prevents this from happening, otherwise I would have to mount behind it and that would place it at ~32".
I have emailed Husky tech info and they replied back with "Unfortunately there is no room to play you really need to be at the 30 inch mark".
So my question. Can I cut the battery support bracket, is it a structural supporting member for the A-frame?
