Hey All!

I have a 2016 Jayfeather X17z. The stock BBQ fell off the poles and caught on fire by the hose/gague. Thankfully I got the gas off before it got hairy. Now I want to replace the BBQ. Would like one that I can mount on these poles, bits not the stock DDR BBQ that came with mine. Would like something bigger. Anyone know of a bigger one that can mount on these poles/the wall bracket.

Thanks

Jim

I keep my BBQ on the opposite side of the campsite from the trailer for this reason and others. I found the grills that come with the trailers are cheap and don't work that well. Have you considered buying a portable one? I have had a Port-a-chef for over 10 years and it still works great hooked up to a 5lb tank. It comes with removable legs which store nicely and act as a carry handle. I put a few lava rocks in it which helped with better heat distribution as well. They aren't very expensive and are better size and quality than the bumper mounts. That's my opinion.

We've had a Coleman Grill/Stove for YEARS that uses the 1lb propane bottles. It has a burner on one side and a grill on the other. It has no legs so when we use it, it usually sits on a picnic table. We have also used it on our folding, 6' white plastic table when necessary. This grill is a great size for the two of us, but might be too small for a family.

We also have a portable charcoal grill that sees very little use any more. We use it when other family members are with us or when what we are cooking REQUIRES charcoal grilling.

I don't use the grill that came with our camper anymore. It's not that it's *terrible* because it's actually ok... I just prefer my Weber Q-Grill substantially more... better heat control, better grill surface, better quality. i'm uninstalling the bumper mount next time I pick my camper up from storage. Not worrying about converting it to work with the gas line on the camper... unless I buy a second Q-grill that I can just devote to the camper.

Id like one that i can run off the tanks i have on my RV, rather then lugging around more propane.. Maybe I can get a different BBQ and run a hose to BBQ in?

As others mentioned. You can modify other grills to run off the propane port on your camper that the original BBQ ran off of.

We just purchased a Coleman Roadtrip LXE grill and I converted it to low pressure.

Works great off of our factory rear propane quick connect with a 10' QC hose.
