Bumper Questions

Hi I'm new to the forum and am purchasing a new 195BR.
We WISH to add a bumper carrier to carry a 200 plus pound scooter and a 110 lb generator. Finding out that the bumper wont handle that much for very long so looking for someone in the Phoenix area to beef up the bumper supports.
I have been given quotes of $250 and upwards. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

That is a lot of weight on the back of that trailer. AND, a single axel, I think you are setting yourself up for sway problems.

You need to maintain between 10-15% of the weight of the trailer as tongue weight. More realistically 13-15% for a better towing trailer. Adding that much weight to the back of the trailer will reduce the tongue weight way too much.

What are you towing it with?

Cheers

That's way too much additional weight for a single 3500 lb axle

If I read the specs correctly, you only have 600# of CCC. I agree with the others about this being a real "issue".

Thank all of you guys for pointing out an issue that I had not considered. While it is not what I wanted to hear your advice is well heeded!

That trailer is light enough if you are pulling with a half ton pickup you should be able to haul the scooter and the gen in the back
