We are finally picking up our JayFeather 242 and I have the first of many questions I will have.
A friend (also a new TV owner) told me to vent a window when towing as the tràiler will tow better, any truth to this?
The Jay Feathers don't seem to come with with any vent covers, are they a worth while investment and how hard are they to install?
Never heard of venting a window to impove handling. Having your tires at max air pressure will help in towing ability. Low tire pressure can cause swaying.
Vent covers are great. We have one over our bathroom vent. The vent is always open at least 1/2" year round. We never worry if rain water will get in. As for installation they are really easy to do. The hardest part is gathering the tools and getting up on the roof. There are lots of youtube videos on the subject.
I'm with Jagiven, that sounds like an Urban Myth to me.

Agree also about roof vent cover, ours in open year round to, and with the cover never have to worry about vent being closed while towing, just continue to leave it open... Think having a window open while towing is asking for problems...
