Some thoughts on wheels and tires

Last year we bought our 24RBS that weighs 5550 lbs according to the sticker. It has Rainier tires with aluminum wheels that I think are 15x5". I have the Equalizer hitch setup with the trailer nose down about 1/2 ". The trailer pulls good but not as good as our previous trailer. It just seems to move around a lot. This got me thinking about the wheels and tires.
The tires are load range C and with 50 psi they look like they could use another 10-15 lbs. The sidewalls buldge a lot. The wheels are 15x5 (need to verify) which is the minimum width for a 205 tire.
I definitely want to upgrade to load range D tires, so that leaves the wheels.
Would it make sense to put 15x6 wheels on with the thought the tires wouldn't buldge as much? Would upgrading the tires be enough to reduce the buldging sidewalls?

I would go to load range E tires. I would bet the wheels are already rated for 80 psi. That will eliminate the sidewall flex.

I have a 24FBS which is similar to your 24 RBS but I think my GVWR is 500 lbs. heavier at 7500 lbs. Regardless, I upgraded to LR D and noticed a slightly better handling TT, although I didn't have the sidewall buldge you refer to.
I also got rid of the stock Towmax ("Blowmax") tires and went to the ever recommended Maxxis 8008 tires. Very pleased with both changes. I also have aluminum wheels and as LIFTED said, they are rated for 80 lbs. Hope that helps you.
Happy RVing,
Jeff

If you have 5 lug rims then you may be limited to a higher load rating. If you have 6 lug then the market is open. 5 lug 15" are limited to 2150 lbs @65psi. You can cross reference some rims and tires and get a feeling for what works here;

Oops...just looked up your 24rbs specs and see that we both are 7500 Lbs. GVWR. Similar configurations but you have the wonderful 80" queen bed while mine is the 6" shorter RV queen. I also don't see the benefit to going to a larger wheel or the LR E, but that's just my $.02.
Happy RVing,
Jeff

Jeff, your 2014 model probably has the same wheels that our previous 2014 trailer had, which are 6"wide. The wheels on our new trailer are 5" wide and I think that results in more sidewall buldge which makes the trailer more unstable. I'm glad to hear that LR D tires helped, that makes me feel better about upgrading tires. I'm still hesitant to spend $400 on new, wider, wheels if it's not going to make a difference.
