Speaker Static

Just picked up my new Jayco Filght 26 BH this weekend and noticed that when I have the outside speakers on I get static from the inside speaker in the back of the trailer. But, when I have the inside speakers selected, the right side speaker outside the trailer has static. Any chance they messed up on wiring the trailer from the factory? I'm sure its covered under warranty, but the dealer is around an hour away and I'd like to see if its a quick fix.

Thanks for any help

Welcome to the Jayco Owners Forum eredinger! When we picked up our tt, there was a hum in the speaker from tv when we turned on the ceiling light near it. The tech wound disconnecting some wire behind the tv and no more hum. He said it was like that from the factory. Sorry, I wish I knew what wire it was.

Look at the back of the radio/dvd player and see if any of the wires are touching. One small strand of wire can cause ploblems if it's touching the wrong terminal.
Welcome to the forum and congrats on your 26 BH.

Has anyone else figured out what causes this problem? I recently purchased a 2011 19BH (new form the dealer) and noticed the exact problem as the OP. I've gone through and replaced all the terminals and checked all the wiring for an open ground. Everything checks out fine.. I have a Jensen wall unit, and form my previous experiences with high quality car audio systems, Jensen is notorious to be junk.

I took it to my local Jayco dealer ( I bought the TT out of state becaus eit was a good deal and they don;t make the JayFlight 19BH anymore) and they said they couldn't reproduce the problem. I noticed the next day after having it at the shop, my power converter is blown. I've gone through all the fuses/breakers, including the 30 amp fuse at the battery and no fix.

Could a bad/blown inverter causes this problem? I e-mailed a tech at Jensen who said the speaker issue sounds like a bad ground somewhere. Any tips or advice to go from here? I hate these bugs in our new camper and it's very frustrating.
