I just picked up the same year and model in December. I'm going to tag along to see what responses you get. I may go the same type of set up or a bike rack of some sort. There's already an a/c unit on it though. I think the limit is 350 pounds and I believe the a/c is around 110-125 pounds. I hope you find your answer.

These are the bars I had on my 1007:

https://www.etrailer.com/Ladder-Rack...ck/SR1020.html

They were a dealer installed option, but it appears that all of the hardware required is included in the kit. They appeared to be lag bolted onto the rail under the molding.

I found prices on Ebay of $127 for two crossbars, $11 for four caps, $195 for four control towers and $48 x 2 ($96) for four landing pads. Does that sound about right?

I posted above on the prices for the Yamika system you identified that are currently on Ebay but I see the link Bankr63 had for a different system was a bit cheaper. Neither your system or his appear to have any type of rail system for the bikes to set in. Also, how did yours mount to your 1006? Thanks!

The prices above seem fair, it's not a cheap setup, but nothing Yakima makes is cheap

The landing pads mount to the rails attached to the camper and the control towers lock into the landing pads

This system does not utilize the existing rails on your 2010 camper and must be drilled and bolted down

Did the Yamika utilize your camper rails to mount the crossbars, maybe like an expansion grip within the rail without drilling? Also, does Yamika also sell rails then for the bikes to rest in separately? I had a PUP 20+ years ago ('96 Coleman with the rounded roof) and I think I had a Yamika brand 4-bike hauler installed by the dealer where I bought new in Michigan. All I really remember was that it took my $6,000 new camper price to $6,600.

Yes it does use the rails, like I said the bars lock in the control towers, the control towers lock into the landing pads which are mounted to the rails already on your camper
Then you have to buy rooftop bike carriers
I went with sportrack upshift as they are a little on the cheaper side compared to others

I follow the order of assembly you describe. Thanks for the bike rail tip too. You have been very helpful. Thanks again DrewsZ85.
