1995 Jayco J Series 1207 Popup
After sealing the roof, the wife and I tried to put the thing up. Everything went well until we tried to pull the front bed out. It went part way and stuck. We pushed and pulled and shoved and finally about the time we were ready to light the damn thing on fire, managed to get it out. We got the supports under it (but didn't lay on it) and got it all set up.
I bought some silicone spray and sprayed the holy heck out of it on both sides and also did the read bed even though it came out easily.
I noticed that there is a plastic shim that did not move with the front rail. I lubed it up and got it shoved back in. We loaded it up with camping gear we have had in storage and let it sit for a few days and then tried to take it down. It did go in but only after a fight and a lot of cussing and more spraying.
How hard is it to change these rails out? And just how do I go about doing it? I am more or less mechanically inclined, but want to do it the right way so the thing works. We want to use it later on in the next few months and need it to work.
In a search I found these:
Jayco Bedslide - 72 [PA-JAYC0091985] - $40.00 : Pop-Up Parts!, Specializing in Folding Trailer Parts
This looks like half of the thing... I also need the aluminum rail that the thing slides in also...
Any help would be appreciated..
