Arizona in Jan. 2020

We are headed to AZ in Jan. for the first time. I had a little health scarce but I am still kicking so LETS GO!! My question is: My TT is Winterized now. Should I keep it winterized for my trip South or make it Camp ready now and trust I won't have freezing weather on the way down. Any ideas??

IMHO I would leave it winterized until you are safely out of the potential freeze areas. You never know what situation you may encounter between here and there - if you happen to get stuck going over a pass or some other unforeseen circumstance it'd be better to still be winterized. Make sure your are properly prepared for any potential pass conditions as well - both Washington and Oregon have chain requirements. Any time we travel that direction in the October to April time frame we always carry a set of chains for the truck and one trailer axle. Best of luck - it's a beautiful trlp during the offseason - enjoy!

Will you be camping in it on the road or moteling it? I would leave it winterized until you get farther south either way..

Since you are going in January, why not wait until you are just ready to leave to dewinterize? If I recall, Port Orchard does not freeze very often anyway, but why take the chance? You can watch the weather forecasts on your phone for the lows where you will be stopping. Next you really don't have to dewinterize even during the first day of travel. carry a couple of gallons of water to flush the toilet and something to wash your hands. Make decisions along the way. Going down through CA on I5 is fuel expensive but once you go over the Shasta incline/drop you should be well above freezing. Besides if you then go through Morgan Hill, you can get really good inexpensive wines out Watsonville Road and stay at the Maple Leaf RV Park.
