Anyone go camping in Franklin, NC?
When I was around 14, I was fortunate enough to be taken to camp in a great little place in Franklin, NC, called Old Corundum Millsite Campground (I got to go with them for about 4 trips total). It is situated right on the road between Franklin and Highlands. Although I don't always make it, I have tried to do a week there every year since (roughly 37 years i think). I know that part of the attraction of that campground is the memories attached to it through the years. I have great memories as a kid (met my first GF there), young adult (took my wife there when we were dating, and was one of the first places we took my son camping (he was 1), and slightly older adult. I have since taken some of my son's friends camping there. There is one especially that loves it, and I believe he may be a lifer also. Arn't memories and special places great?
I was just wondering if anyone in this forum has a special campground in that "neck of the woods" that they like to use.
