http://www.pinegrovecampground.net/ is where we go when we don't have a lot of time to drive to a campground. Only 30 minutes away from work I have commuted in while the DW and kid stay camping.

now this is a place that not alot of you would ever make it to but if you find yourself in southern ontario check out Bon Echo Provincial park http://www.ontarioparks.com/park/bonecho

hands down my favourite place on earth, the lake is beautiful, lots of trails all sites are nice

This is likely my favourite park. http://www.env.gov.bc.ca/bcparks/exp...birkenhead_lk/

The lake and mountains are amazing and the sites are so private we couldn't see any of our neighbours from our site. Downside is no services, lake is glacier fed and ice cold and the last 17 km up the road is rough.

This is my favourite close park. http://www.cultuslake.bc.ca/eat-play-at-cultus/

Kinda crowded especially on long weekends but the lake is warm , it's an hour from my house and I have lots of friends there every summer.
