Recreation.Gov Site

Just got through making a reservation at the recreation.gov site.

What a steaming pile! I finally got the campground and campsite that we wanted. Tried to check out and it wouldn't let me as I didn't have a browser they liked.

Went back using Internet Exploder booked site and days, then my wife said I'd like to add a couple more days. OK dear, clicked the "Modify" button to no avail, had to start the whole process over.

I had zero problems with the old site, I find all to often sites that are working just find are reworked and turned into something difficult to use. I guess the programmers need to keep busy to justify their existence?

I've made a couple reservations on the new site. While I don't like the new format I can live with it, all except the maps. The new maps suck.

Reserve America just underwent an overhaul but kept the old maps. Don't know why Recreation.gov couldn't have done the same.

It's a steaming pile of horse poo. The old site worked great.

We camped at a COE camground in October. No reservation.. At that time the system was so screwed up that unless they had an email on file for us they could not give us a permit for a campsite that night. Most of the campground was empty.

Since then we have made a reservation at Juniper using recreation.gov and it worked ok but we did know the campground
