Where the western branch of US 2 begins at I-75 is
Mackinac Island. There is a lot of see and do in and around the island. There are no cars on the island, so it is a very unique place to visit.
I also recommend the
Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum and
Tahquamenon Falls State Park in Paradise, MI.
US 2 from St Ignace, MI to Escanaba, MI is a good two lane road with pavement that was in good shape in 2021 when we last towed on it. There are frequent passing lanes so cars can pass you.
