I have been both east and west bound on 14 and 14A, but never on 16. I have heard that 16 is fine for trailers and RVs. 14 would be difficult either direction and 14A on the west side is not advised. Two years ago we took it west, down hill, and it was a challenge even with our big TV and light trailer. It's steep, long, and no pull-outs to speak of. Once you're on it your committed.

Out of the 3 roads 14, 14a, 16. 16 is the best when pulling a trailer. Still very long grades. Road has a couple of run away truck ramps one a gravel ramp up a hill the other a catch cable system. And one mandatory brake check point. This is all on the end closer to Buffalo.

Keep in touch with Yellowstone web site. All entrances including Cody are planned to be open this spring and summer.
